Hey- I've fallen off the radar but my pepper is out of the factory as of yesterday 9/6 and the wallenius website won't function for me. anybody else finishing up this week and getting ready to ship know their boat? I'm a 7499... production- I'm all kinds of tracking impatient!!! Plus it'd be nice to know who her friends on board were.

I would appreciate the heads up Miniwifey. See if you can get the Bill of Lading number. I have a phone number of the shipping company if I have a BOL number. From what I have gathered, K-Line and NYK Shipping vessels do not report positions so unfortunately we can't track where they are. But it would still be nice to know the name of the ship. Based on the time it left Southampton (and ruling out a WW vessel) our Minis might be on the Cassiopeia Leader or Hercules Highway. Hope to hear from you soon.

MountainGal: How do you know that your car is at the VDC? My OL still states "En Route". My MA seems lost, telling me my car is landed on the 6th and would be at the VDC on the 8th. I know I was on the Freedom that landed the 3rd, although the WW website has not updated other than to say the boat has left.

The Liberty's itenerary just changed. It is now due in Charleston on the 14th. They were going to Georgia first but now they rescheduled to SC first.

It is almost 1/2 way across the Atlantic but hasn't started south yet. Looks to make Nova Scotia in about 2 days, then south to SC.

Hope the VPC can process my car quickly and send it on it's way to Florida.

I knew that Frieda was at the VDC because my MA told me so. Later the same day, the OL tracking page miraculously also showed it to be so. If your MINI was on the Freedom, then your MINI is at or has left the VDC. If your MA says that your MINI landed on the 6th, then either your MA is wrong or your MINI was not on the Freedom. Does your OL tracking page show your EDD on the 11th?

WW is done with you now... You have only your MA & ASK MINI for help. MAs are almost all off getting Convertible traning - no info from them til Thursday. My advice - clean the garage some more. There is nothing we can do at this point (not that we've had many options previously). I don't know if Frieda is still at the VDC or wending her way to Winston-Salem (although with the winds, rain, & flooding that we're now getting as Frances moves north , I scarcely know what to hope for!), or something else altogether!. I've decided that I'll have her by Sep 17. If I can pick her up sooner, so much the better. Just don't know what else to do, and am working hard at being at least somewhat functional...

 

My MA said yesterday that my car will be at the dealer Saturday. I am hoping it will be on a train for the Northwest by the end of the week and here by Friday the 24th. Kind of frustrating that we cannot track our cars on the last leg of their trip to the dealers. Perhaps we can petition to have GPS tracking units put on the trucks so we can track them like the ships.

 

I can only imagine it now... GPS precision trakcing...

GPS tracking would only heighten the severity of all MTF symptoms. The disorder is life-disrupting enough as it is!

We are suffering here from the remnants of Frances as she heads slowly north. Lots of flooding. My husband is the local Red Cross Director, and has had to open three shelters. Nothing like Florida though! Still, it's been an altogether dreary day that's made me wonder if Frieda and I will have any days for topless motoring once she FINALLY gets here... I can hardly wait to be motoring with Frieda instead of tracking her! - -

 

Final update for me, too. 1000 miles and counting - what a fun vehicle! Even if my dealer screwed up and didn't order the H/K.

ah, it's supposed to be delivered today, my MA is scheduled off for the day, and he never scheduled a pickup date!!! it should come in today, and then i will be on them first thing in the AM so hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow afternoon....i'm going nuts!!!!

 

A heads up for all of you that are about to pick up your cars. Make sure you have a navigator with you when you drive away from the dealership.


My MINI's cool interior, the feel of driving it, the excitment of having it, the new car smells, (it seems to have a better new car smell that others I have had) etc, as well as the looks I was getting from other drivers, were all very districting. Without my wife as navigator I'm not sure if I would have been able to get home without an accident. She kept track of the lane changes, traffic lights, and turns which made for a nice safe ride. :smile:
