Big Lost power?

Hey, so I dyno'd my car today found out only putting down 105whp. From factory you can expect ~140whp. I have a 15% pully reduction, MSD coils, and K&N air filter. Where the hell did 40% of the power go?

Sounds like your bypass valve might be stuck open....
With similar mods...you should be about 170 WHP if the engine is in decent shape.

One question...was there a fan blowing down through the IC...
If not, you will see a HUGE up drop due to timing pull due to super hot intake temperatures...

Yeah that's what I thought stock should be about 140whp to make 35 less with mods brings a giant question.

By huge you mean a tiny leaf floor blower yes, to my knowledge. From the video it was not within 2 ft of my front lip.

So There was a clubman that ran before me, he pulled 149 hp but he had some mods too but the weird thing is that both of us ran in 4th and both topped 114mph..... he stopped at 6500 rpm, but I went to 7000....

Ok just found out I could feel it without dismantling my whole engine. The bpv is strong still but it doesn't close, so I have a boost leak. It is strong on the top end but coming to close it is like the top half of the spring is missing.

On a dyno, a r53 needs 2 FANS...
On for the rad....in the front...
And another pointed through the IC...one usually will not do it...
The gen2 IC is like on most cars, the IC is near the bumper...
The gen1 is higher...so it needs airflow like you are driving...
Many dyno folks don't know....and as a result, folks get crap numbers/tunes....
