I remember you, Dave I can't believe I'm doing this again You have one of those rare VRs. We had a gal come all the way from Minnesota in her VR today at our MINI event. She has 75,000 miles on it. My husband is driving Louie & I'm back in that little Miata again. We sold our 3rd car & hubby is graciously giving me the money from the Maxima for Sunnie. But then I gave him a real good deal on Louie

Just in case those of you who are getting your first MINI or haven't been on these forums for long should really check into going to the dragon run in 05. We went there this year and had a blast, and are making plans of going back. Met some very nice people and saw some incredible cars! You don't have to drive your car on the edge to really enjoy the weekend. It is so fun to take over those little towns with a couple hundred MINIs. One thing I must say is get your waving hand ready, cause you'll be passing other MINIs quite often. I highly recommend this to you because it is ALOT more than just driving around.

Thanks for keeping the production chart so up to day......it's addictive!
By the way, my production # is 748xxxx
I'm calling Monday to get another update - hoping all the good hard working Brits are working overtime to punch out a few extra cars!!!!
The call to MINI has been made this Monday morning......
I'm being told I'm scheduled for production week............... 38!
What's that? Two weeks from today, August 23? That means....... the week of Sepember 6th???????

Setp/Oct Table
AppleCello,
Thanks for keeping the Sept/Oct table updated! It is fun to watch it as people get their prod #s and scheduled dates. Now that the time is getting closer, it just gets more exciting.
Just wanted to let you know that somehow I got into the table twice. Unfortunately, I really am only getting one MCS. My son is about to get his license, so I am sure he would not mind if I got two . If only it was as easy as being on the list twice!!

Good News
Just got off the phone with miniusa and they say "Hoot" is at the dock waitin' on the boat. Hoot is my PW/PW MCS with sports, premuim, cold weather, sunroof, nav, HK, Cordoba beige leather, 17" runflat, ride.
I figure we'll meet up later in September at Mini of Nashville. We'll drive to work everyday and then on the weekend we'll play up on the twisties in the hills on Tennessee. Can't wait to get into the Smokies.........................

This is my first post. I've ordered a MCS Cabrio cool blue/blue top, dark blue int., prem pkg, fog, cromo prod # 7483xxx. Like everyone else, I can't wait to get it. When I call ASK MINI I have just been going thru the auto messages which doesn't give me anymore info than the owners lounge. This is a stupid question but are you guys talking to a real rep. to get more info on your production date?

I just received an email from MINI USA. Pure marketing.... I LOVE it!!
"If we knew how, we'd make this message self-destruct after you read it."
no update on the owners lounge though. So im not sure what triggers the email from them...
want my mini!
(ya, talk to a real rep! I always feel stupid talking to the automated system "Who were you talking to?? --No one..." )

Beek, sounds like my MINI is exactly like yours except I stuck with the Black leather...

Hello All
Hello All
Have been reading the forum for the last few weeks. I order my MC with CVT on 8/16/04. The specs are:
Purple Haze with White roof
CVT
Navigation
Premium
Sport
Cold Weather
Xenons
Please adde me to the list with production number 7487***, it is on order. However when I check the owner lounge it listed the color, leatherette but none of my option packages were listed. Is this correct or should I call my MA? BTW, ordered from Habberstad Mini, very friendly and willing to deal on prices.

I never spec'ed it out, so here it is:
MCS PW/B - 6 spd
Black leather
Chrome line interior
Premium
Sport
Cold weather
Nav
HK
Roof rack (for the kayaks)
I'm in the Seattle area, and the nearest dealer (Northwest MINI in Fife, WA) isn't even taking orders for MCS, and the wait would be 16-18 months anyhow. So I ordered from Knauz MINI near Chicago around the end of July. I'm a NW native, but I lived in Chicago for a few years, so it'll be fun to visit some old haunts.

I called again for another update. The guy told me that it will be built by september 18th or 19th. I asked if this date ever changes, earlier or later, and the guy told me, "No it's been confirmed."
Thing is, It had previously been confirmed for the 20th! who knows. But at least it was good news, lets hope its true and that this is the beginning of a trend for me where all of my dates move up up up!

I called today, and was given a different answer than last week. They don't even know when the scheduled production date is! The guy I talked to said week 37, or maybe week 36. GRRRRRR. Wish they would just give me a date and stick to it . He also said it can go into production "any day" and to keep calling, and that once it begins production it only takes 5 days to complete the car. When I try the automated service, it tells me "on order but with no scheduled production date". Poooey
