I just tried to update my table. And guess what! MICROSOFT Excel crashed and didnt save my work.... I will do it again tomorrow morning... Very exciting though to see all of the progress.

Hi All,

I'm new to the site & can't wait for Fiona to arrive! I called the ASKMINI & was told that she left Southampton on Aug. 26th. I've tried tracking her on the WW site, but the VIN can't be found. Has anyone else run into this problem?

My production number is 74608XX. Do you think she'll be coming soon? She's got to trek it all the way to California!

Another newbie. I ordered my 05 MCS on July 31st and am expecting to go to production sometime during the last week of Sept. My specs are:


05 MCS HB/W, Coroba Beige Leather,
Premium package, Xenons & Fogs,
Rain sensing wiper/auto dim mirror,
Chrome In & Out, Chrono Pack,
HK Sound System


and for the most part are set even though I have (or at least did have) until about Sept 18 to make changes. I just added both chrome packages and chrono pack via e-mail to my MA this Monday.

I started out with PH/W, but not having seen the PH, chickened-out and went with HB. I have since seen the PH and like it, but I'm glad I switched. I also had the sport package, but decided I liked the 16" V-Spokes better than the 17" S-Lites and wanted the smoother (so I hear) ride of the 16s.

HEY! Im doing the updates now. and yes, i run microsoft office on my mac, out of necessity. I really should make the jump to OpenOffice, go completely microsoft free... stay tuned, im working on the table!

Your MINI maybe on the K Line Shipping since you are in California. Call your MA & bug him because he can find out which ship your MINI is on.

Thanks AppleCello for updating the grid! It's nice to see how everyone's MINI is progressing. The wait really is getting old, not as old as these darn hurricanes that keep hitting us here in Central Florida every other week, but it's still seems like a very long wait until my MINI gets here.

Anyone else notice that we are just a few cars short of having a $1,000,000 list.

 

Thanks AppleCello for updating. I see my name on the list - Yayy!! For the next update, we are getting a MCS Cabrio, Cool Blue/Blue Top - and it's just about to leave the VPC to head for the dealer in Sterling VA - Yippee!!

Now the waiting gets a bit tougher... Our MA will be on vacation all next week - darn....and we're having a few aftermarket things done before she gets shipped here to CA. The trucking company is scheduled to pick her up on Oct. 4th... :smile:

While you're updating the grid, you might want to put down that my car was delivered to the dealer on 8/27 and ships this Friday (the 10th) to California on a truck from Ohio.

~ Fiona left Oxford on 8/24 (my bday too!)
~ She's on a ship now & is scheduled to arrive in Oxnard, CA on 9/16/04
~ I should be able to pick her up the following week!!!

Hi everyone !!

This is my first post here and i wanted to say how great it is to have such a ressourcefull MINI community !

Well i'm waiting on the delivery of my 2005 MCS BRG with white roof and sports package. On its on completion date of 9/4/2004 it was booked on the patriot bound for South Carolina on the 23rd. but i noticed on monday that it was no longer booked on that ship. i can no longer track it on the WW website. does anyone know if that is due to the terrorist arrests in southampton? or is that common for a MINI to be booked and then be removed from a ship ?

p.s : the wait is horrible, im loosing sleep over this !!!

oh, and for those of you who live in Minnesota there are 5 or 6 MINI cabrios parked in front of the hotel next the Hard Rock Cafe on 1st ave in Minneapolis. From what i heard they are there for journalists to test drive.

 

Hey there Fiona, Seems as though we are shipmates. My PW/B MC is on the same vessel heading to Cali then on to Salt Lake City, Utah. If it left on the 24th and is on a K-Line vessel, it is most likely on the Hercules Highway. Keep us posted if you have any information. Later.

 

well i just called ASKMINI and they said my MINI was in southampton and didn't get their until the 6th, so i guess she didn't make the Liberty. Also, still getting "unable to track" message from WW. looks like there are a few of us who have run into this problem.

GoodbyeJeep - It looks like our MINIs are twins! Not only are they both BRG/W MCSs headed for Minnesota, but they were born the same day!

Did you see WW updated the Liberty's docking schedule? It was scheduled to go to Georgia first, but now Charleston is first and now docks a day earlier on the 14th!

Since we're "production buddies" I though I'd report that I've just gotten a REAL update, with my MCS going into the paint shop sometime earlier today, the 8-th. They're still holding to the "completion by the 11-th" line so I have to assume that the remaining final production steps will move along without too much delay - after all its already Thursday the 9-th in Oxford. Production No 7499xxx

 

Well Ozbone, I seem to recall that My update came in just after yours when our cars went IN to production. Earlier today, i hadnt yet hit the paint shop. my number is 7493XXX so either way, Im right in front or behind you. Im guessing behind, however, with a completion date being given as the 14th from the MINI reps at askMINI.

I will call again tomorrow morning and see what they have to say!
