I'm so excited My MA called me today. He expects Sunnie by the end of next week Wants to get all the papers signed beforehand so all we have to do is buzz down I-55 in Louie & pick up his little green sister Might take her to Graceland,too
We'll be "parading" back to St Louis 2 MINIs in a row

Very cool pictures of the MINIs waiting as Southampton! The only thing cooler would be to get a webcam from the same angle.
ASK MINI confirmed that my car arrived at the terminal on the 16th. Hopefully my car will be on a boat soon but I am getting a little nervous since my VIN no longer shows up on the W&W tracking site. Has anyone else who was booked on the Freedom had their VIN disappear? If so, has your VIN shown back up in their tracking system?
I'm not sure but I think my particular MINI may be hiding somewhere in Southampton and is not ready to leave home yet

The Carmen, carrying my MINI, is passing by the Azores! not that it means much... at all... not long now...
Hey, do you guys think that there is any chance that I will be able to pick my MINI up on October 2?? that would be just under 2 weeks from now. How long should the VPC take? 2-4 days I guess if all is normal. I suppose its possible. Lets see how it all goes.

I contacted W&W customer support (via email) to ask about the disappearance of the VIN from their site. This is what I received back...
Please note that BMW has decided to split the operation (Carrier) of cars
into the port of Charleston between Wallenius Wilhelmsen and K-Line. The
fact that we now can not locate you VIN might be that it's operated by
K-Line although it's registered as received by WWL.
So maybe those of us who were received for booking on the Freedom that later were removed from the W&W system are on a K-Line ship heading westward. It stinks to not be able to track but hopefully it will be here soon.
Update from W&W: ...unit was shipped on K-Line
vessel Emden on 17/09/04.
It looks like My car should get here quicker than expected. I guess I better get my Honda sold.
Final update from K-Line customer service: ...Loaded Mv Emden V123 sailed from Southampton 08:05 on the 18.09.04 eta Charleston 01/10/04

wow - this thread is turning into a weather forecast for cars arriving! ; )
i may as well throw my update into the ring then.... mini of manhattan says they should receive my car from the vdc today and then will need two days to fit the aero kit front end, driving lights, rear spoiler, aux gauges and ipod input.
hopefully friday will be pickup day!

the aux input just allows you to connect an ipod or discman to the stereo itself.
the ipod connector actually powers the ipod and allows you to use the stereo controls on the wheel to change playlists.

not sure what the official apple solution costs, but the mini aux input is costing me about 200 or so with install. i am having it installed right inbetween the two aux gauges under the ac unit - so my ipod can live in a cupholder ; )
