Good news! I just sold my car . I sold it for less than I originally intended, but am feeling a bit hurried. Its a good thing I have that over and done with, because my OL just updated right now with an EDD 9/30/2004 !! Its so awesome to see that info on screen. Kinda makes everything seem REAL!!! So, hopefully, I will be driving my mini before next weekend !!!!!!!!

With the Carmen just a couple hundred miles off NY I figured there'd be No News til the cars were unloaded .... BUT, just like Patrick, the OL now shows an EDD for me of 9/30 !!! I'm just a few hours drive away but I guess this means the VPC process is running at "around" 3 days. Unless something miraculous happens though my Friday schedule is a mess and I may have to wait until the week after.

Found today that my MCS has been received at the terminal at Southampton, but hasn't been loaded on the "Independence". I assume this is the ship, won't know until the loading is confirmed, I guess.
My dealer said it was scheduled to arrive there by Oct. 11 or so. That's pretty good. I ordered her on Sept. 2.
The Independence will go to New York, where the hurricane shouldn't be a factor.
Good luck to all you weather-beaten folks down in Florida, best wishes to you all!

OK, just have to let out a little bit of steam. Although I sent my MA the loan application on thursday, it was not sent over to the loaning bank until today (saturday). I finally got my MA on the phone today, and he said "maybe" we'll get an answer on Monday. GRRRR! Why did it take so long to send the fax over? I had explained to him that I am anxious over this process (even though I have a co-signer) and want an answer asap. Now, I have NO car (sold it yesterday) and am feeling anxiety taking over. New credit SUCKS . Also, after looking at some pictures here in the forums, I am asking myself why in the world didn't I choose white wheels? They look so nice with the white roof/mirror caps. Any advise??

I ordered my MCS during the last week of July and have been online everyday since then tracking the progress of production and delivery. Well, today Josh @ Mini of Nashville called and said that my PW/PW mcs was just delivered. I'll pick "Hoot" up on Monday. I've purchased an XM direct kit and plan on installing as soon as I find a little spare time..................IT FEELS GOOD!

i know the answer: Mini of Manhattan are just plain SLOW on the ball noa...it took my ma a MONTH to get me a production number.... my car sat in vdc for over a week..AND was promised to me yesterday but now it will supposedly be ready monday...we'll see....they haven't impressed me that much as of yet - hopefully when it comes time for service they will blow my mind...but up to this point...lots of unreturned phonecalls and delays. at the end of the day the car IS THE BEST - but they remain car salesmen and women....

I bought my car through Prestige Mini, in Mahwah, NJ. Considering that sending the loan request was the only time I had contacted them since ordering the car, it wasn't a lot to request. Oh well. I guess they were busy because they just introduced the cabrio this weekend. I still wish my MA would have forwarded the fax on Thursday, when I originally sent it. I will have to wait patiently until Monday, hoping there won't be any glitches in obtaining the loan. This will be my first loan, ever. Everything else (i.e, school tuition) has been paid in full by me every semester. Humph.

it seems that the Carmen has stopped reporting the weather. It recently slowed down as it approached New York. It should arrive sometime tomorrow, but in reality, that could be as early as a few hours from now.
This is amazing. Claire is almost on solid ground! I just received my "Actual Size" sticker in the mail today but im not sure that I want to put it on. I thought it would be a static cling sticker (like my rainbow Apple Computer decal) but instead it is applied with its own adhesive and can not be removed wihtout destroying it. I would have prefered something that I could remove, and a sticker that I could place on the INSIDE rather than out. I will have to think about it. Good night all, ONE MORE WEEK!
