Accessories ?

As we begin to slowly inch our way toward the day when we meet our Mini I'm curious about a couple of things: 1) since we already have color, model information for one anothers cars, what "official" Mini accessories (cupholder, floor mats, etc) are you planning on getting and 2) what other "un-official" accessories (intake, exhaust, glove box organizer, Euro parcel shelf, etc) are you considering getting for your Mini ?

I already have driving lights. I will be pulling them off my MC before I sell it. I will be getting an aux. input for my Ipod, and that is about it.

Can an aux. input be added AFTER receiving the car????

And doesn't the cupholder come starndard??

I plan on buying a nice, leather red purse!! Maybe some red highlights in my black hair? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

acutally aux input can only be added after receiving the car. they don't do it in the factory. at least that's what mini of manhattan tells me - and they are installing mine!

as for the purse... i thought you were a dude, dude! lol...

Aux. Input is an after-factory install and is simple. Just pull off the knee bolster and stick it in. I have mind routed under the center stack where I drilled the hole.

Right, there are a couple of cup holders standard but there is another optional one which handles the Biggies.
As for the iPod, I'm most interested in the Apple/BMW "iPod your BMW (Mini) version .... if I can find one!
The European Parcel Shelf seems like a great way to deal with providing space for cell phone, charger, etc.

No, not a dude .... Maybe I should have given myself the screen name of Merikka

My real name is Noa- which people also often confuse.

Thanks for the aux. input info!!!!!

Well, Sunnie is "inheriting" the glove box organizer & center armrest from Louie. Hand me downs already I've already bought the lucky chinese Zodiac sign that will hang from her mirror(year of the monkey-since birthdate is 2004). I've ordered rubber floor mats, headlamp protectors, & a parcel shelf. Holoiki, the Hawaiian gecko will be the mascot(every MINI needs a mascot). And I will also get green highlights in my hair & a green purse.

Lois- green highlights and green bag sound fab !!! Well, at least the green bag part . Mark Jacobs has some really nice ones, but gosh, with that pricetag I could've gotten the sunroof

We need to start a picture thread- so all of us anxiously-antisipationg-our-minis can tie a face to the name (and car )

I havent decided on what to add, if anything. I think I want the rubber mats, but I dont feel like paying for them, lol. I want to dealer to throw them in, but im not counting on that. see what happens i suppose.

Otherwise, Im thinking about doing the PIAA driving lamps at some point, though im not positive that I like the look.

Beyond that, i dont think anything... for now.

Speaking of getting aftermarket, I just ordered a new dipstick for the MINI. They are getting discontinued so I got it before it was gone. I'm getting a HAI before it gets here too. Getting my MA to have some more chrome ready for me too. 19% Pulley for christmas I hope. New chrome wheels and sticky tires before next spring. And a few other things that I'll show later. Here's some pics. By the way, I'm week 38!

NYC,

I love your computer setup! Mac OS X is the only way to go. I have a PowerBook myself and I will never touch Windows as long as Apple keeps up with the quality of their products!

MINIs look great, the rest of you.

Merikk--i've never been to Venice. Were you there for vacation or studies? I just spent the last 11 months in Paris. Im studying Information Technology and French (those majors dont fit so well together but I love'em both!).

Lois- I must be too old to be your adopted daughter... You can't be older then 38/39! By the way, did I compliment you in Louie? What a beauty!!

Paul- I hear ya! I miss the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany and the old smells of Rome. *SIGH*. I was in Italy for vacation -every year in the summer I meet my family in Europe for a couple of weeks. BTW- I studied at Alliance high-school- ever hear of that institution (they have schools all over the world)?

Drew- is that picture from your office??? Love the computer!!!
