I wouldn't run that SC on my on my motor for fear of having more of that coating coming off and causing damage to the motor. If that is a Teflon coating it will not break up into tiny little bits. Also the coating was designed to wear to mate with the opposite surfaces. There are gaps now where the coating is missing creating a less efficient super charger.

Well, certainly more than I would have thought. I haven't gotten a chance to look into completely yet. But with being out of town all the time working right now may keep it simple with the Eaton m45 for the time being

Not much progress as of late.however ibhave installed aero upper grill and painted the chrome on the middle grill black.

Decided that I wasn't liking the carbon fiber wrap so peeled it all off and sprayed the covers red.

I've also striped the sunroof back down to glass it has an old brittle cracked decal across it. Definitely liking the clean look of it.

Aero grill installed

Can't forget my faithful buddies

FedEx did show up today with a few from pelican parts. I now have the fluid for the power steering and gasket for supercharger to intake tube.

With as much as a tvs 900 will be costing and time wise. I'm going to stick with a stick charger but upgrade to a Teflon coated one.

I'm sorry about all of your upfront troubles.
But I am in to see this thing refinished. It looks like you've got a great head start and you'll be finishing with basically a new car!

Yup. Going in i was prepared to be doing a motor swap. I've always wanted a mini and finally have one. So the way I look at it. I am being properly acquainted with it. Trying to do everything right the first time with it.

I've been so intimate with it and I don't even know its name.lol

Nice. Mine has been in the garage since I've taken ownership about a month or so ago. I still have yet to get it the bmv to have out of state Inspection and all done.

Haha that's awesome.
Your project is shaping up nicely

I live the small touches
Like the cf wrap, and the grill
It totally transformed the exterior

For your Aero grill, you can use the small Aero middle grill with the stock bumper skin. Here's a good how to on how to make it work:

and an old pic of our MINI when we did ours:

Yeah not cheap, but it sure is purdy though. This just came out:

"for the FMIC kit and the billet intake manifold expect about $6650
that's FMIC, dual pass radiator, supercharger, all the billet pieces, pipes, hose clamps , 55gal min water pump, 8 rib pulley kit, billet a/c delete bracket with 8 rib pulley, belt, tensioner, 3bar map sensor and tune."

I do have have the middle aero grill. I got both the upper and the middle from a member on here. However the middle has a corner that's broke off so deciding if I want to buy another one that's new or try n repair this one by molding it back to life .

Fed ex arrived again last week with goodies from pelican parts. Power steering fluid and supercharger to intake tube gasket.

And seems as how expensive the tvs swap would be I ended up sourcing a 2005 supercharger with 30k.

I believe I now have everything to assemble to mini back together and start it up this weekend when I get back in town from work.

Oh I bet I will be. It's nice to be able to finally have my own mini. And to be able to customize its personality.

I have yet to drive an "s" however. Been in love with the mini since it basically came out and from there fell in love with the original. I have only drivin one mini r50 my step father had years back. And even that was a blast to drive. So I can't wait to turn the key and hear it come to life

Haha I feel you
I fell in love by indirect contact with a Mini as well
I've been buying my wife the different versions as they come out and as our family grows. Next thing I know I'm buying myself a JCW haha.

I can't wait to hear your first driving experience in an S
But I'm sure your friends and family (much like mine) will get tired of how much you love your car!

Well, just a little update.

Sold the k&n! Ordered a ddm in stainless with uni filter and also have a red intake tube to go with it.

The supercharger oil kit came in today as well.

Now I just need to get home and start putting it all back together. Next week will be my last week over the road as I accepted a good job that puts me back in my own bed every night.

And for the grand finale of this post, I have officially came up with a name for the mini. So from here on forth it shall be known as "Skywalker".

'Skywalker"... is that because it will look as if it is walking on a cloud... all the smoke from pouring out from the front wheel wells?

Good name.

Motor on!

That certainly works tho. But I'm a star wars fan and it just clicked and I'd say fit perfectly for the mini

belt and intercooler is on and most everything is hooked up. but now i cant get a crank. it just clicked once. so i checked the battery for voltage and is showing 9v. so went back and hooked up my trigger to the starter and click click. and welp now i cant even get a click. so i am assuming i have fried my starter?

checked hot wire to the starter and found 8+v, went to the solendoid signal wire and turned key and didnt have anything transfer.
i have read that even a low battery on these cars will make them act up. so looks like i will pull the battery and put on a trickle charger while im on the road this week.

i would assume i would atleast get some clicks like i was. but even with my trigger hooked up, the starter wouldnt hit. now when i originally found the supercharger to be at fault i could crank and even start the motor off my trigger switch but not from the key.

the battery is low enough that even the interior lights pulsate

Want to sell the damaged charger?

Ours wouldn't crank and our battery had 12.3 volts, but that was the problem. You need at least 12.6.
