R50/53 iPod Adapter!?

iPod Adapter!?
The service records for my 2004 R53 show that the PO had an iPod integration kit installed in 2006.
I have searched in all of the obvious (to me) places and I do not see an iPod adapter. Any ideas where this thing would be hiding?
I looked in the glovebox and behind the panel below the switches and head unit. I see no iPod adapter or evidence of its past existence!?
