Mudflaps on MCS - hesitant dealer?

I went to my MINI dealer to pick some front mudflaps up for my MCS, and the parts department was really hesitant to let me buy them, stating over and over that the manual only lists them as fitting the R50 (standard MINI) and not the MCS.

This relatively simple purchase turned into a 30-minute ordeal, ending with me having to go back to the showroom and carefully examining both the MC and the MCS.

So long as you don't have the aero kit, then the front mudflaps fit on both versions of the MINI flawlessly. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They're 11 dollars - worst case scenario is that I bungle one of them up trying to install them, and I'm out 11 dollars. The freaking KEYCHAIN is more expensive!

For goodness sake, dealers - do a little research of your own. And to MINI, update your manuals accordingly, because some of your parts departments are stuck to the paperwork and not the gentle mental gymnastics that would let them figure it out on their own.

I got mine from Moss motors cost...around $15 for the front. Don't do the rears...they're ugly and very expensive.

I have a MC and I find they help alot with road grime from getting on the car.
Winter will be a test, one for road sludge, but also for wheel clearence.
