Thinking of Selling... What's she worth?

Guys,

I'm thinking of selling my 06 Mini Cooper S manual with Harman Kardon sound system and HID lights. It is an all factory car with no mods what so ever and only has 67550 miles. All maintenance done at either Mini of Charlotte or Mini of Raleigh and all up to date. Just installed new Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 tires about 400 miles ago. It is totally a garage queen only driven on the weekends.

I'm starting to travel for my job and need to buy a travel car so thats why it is getting sold. Any idea's on what I should ask for her?

NADA is going to be your most accurate estimate guide, but it'll probably value your car around $6-6500.

FWIW I bought my car 3 years ago with 101xxx miles on it for $8k. These cars hold a bit more of an "enthusiast price" if you hold out for the right buyer, or know that you can get 1500-2k more than book price for it.

But if it's paid off, why not just travel with it? they were made to be driven!

Wow, clean retail says its $9250 and $7100 trade-in. I'm 6'2" and I really bought the car as a fun 3rd car. Never had any intentions on using it day-to-day. Plus some of my traveling will be over 5 hours in the car. Not that comfortable in the Mini as it beats on you a little.

WOW is right cuz I ran it thru KBB and they say under $5,000 for trade {on MY zip code so your # could differ}

IME, the price I got from a dealer was ALWAYS KBB

BUT .. bottom line is: it is worth what you sell it for ....

IF you think it is worth $8k and 2 months later are still looking for a buyer ... is it worth $8,000?

Ya wanna sell today or next month .. or 2 months or 3?

IME, CARMAX pays KBB and you get rid of the car today . . . . IF that is the priority.

I'd keep it.
I drive mine for work, sometimes about 4-5 hours. Specifically take routes that have twists. I purchased with 100K from a dealer over three and a half years ago, currently at 156K.

I may just keep it. I'm going to throw it out there on Craigslist to see if gets any traction. If not, I will keep it and drive it. Thanks for the feedback on it!
