Is there a discount mini part vendor that's run by enthusiasts? I had a bad experience with an OE vendor that's popular on this site--they shipped me the wrong part for retro-fit and refused to take even a fractional share of the responsibility.

I realized that I had been spoiled by my experience with Mike Potter of VWParts.com who knows the VW parts catalogue inside and out, and was willing to research any questions he for which he didn't already have an answer.

Is there anyone from the Mini world in this mold?

Thanks for your interest. I replied to your email address earlier today. Today, I'm interested in OE parts, specifically the 05 console with cointray for the coupe. The one for the convertible is too short for my application.

I know that there are lots of aftermarket enthusiast vendors, but here I wanted someone who knew "what fit into what" with regard to OE parts.

 

I normally use classic mini, but I am not sure if that is who you had a problem with.

'm not sure of what is needed though for your conversion.
