R53 Track Car; Running w/out Headliner?

For foundation purposes, this R53 is intended to drive to the track, shred some killer laps and drive home. This is not a cruiser, daily or anything of the sort.

Having said that, I'm considering full removal of the headliner (it's drooping again after a couple months of success w/M90).

Anyone here running around with the entire headliner removed? If you are and you have a moment to give me your pro's & cons, I offer you a "thank you".

Risking being labeled as rude, if you haven't enjoyed some time w/out a headliner please move along. I'm seeking feedback only from folks w/personal experience, less opinions from those w/out.

Would think on a sunny day your head would fry if you are talking removing the entire shell.

Obviously, as you state, this is a track car. The liner is heavy. Heavy is never good in a track car. You could put light weight one sided sticky insulation over drivers position, if heat is an issue. All this should work for a purpose built car!

Have I done this? No, but then I am an old fart, that no longer does go fast, but have in the past! I am all about the on road twisties now.

It's not a Mini, but I had the headliner removed from one of my old e30's (I had pics in photobucket but can't seem to log in anymore ).

I don't recall it being any warmer or significantly louder during my commute. It was quite a bit louder when it rained..
