John Cooper Works shots

took some pics of my John cooper works today. I put the winter rims on yesterday and the driving quality went down a couple notches.

Still looks like dry roads in your pic... Where are you located?

My winter practice is that I only put on my winter wheel/tire combo when there is actually snow & ice on the roads; that way I preserve the snow tires (and driving fun factor) as long as possible. Most of the time here in New England, where roads are salted quite heavily, the Interstates and main roads are clear of snow within a few days, so it doesn't make sense riding on dry pavement wearing out my nice snow tires (Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s).

Of course, having a garage makes jacking up the car and swapping out the wheels/tires an easy 30-minute task. I know this is not an option for everyone, but if it is, I think it makes sense.

YMMV

(Nice looking MINI btw...)

yes i did slightly jump the gun. I live in Canada near Toronto. I just isnt safe driving on summer tires when it is in the low single digits (celcius). I did change them myself. If i had waited till it snowed it would of made it a very cold tire change.

Agreed. We got cold rain yesterday that almost, sorta, kind of turned to sleet, it's about time to stash the MINI for the winter. I need to get it inspected, then it's off to sleep for the next couple months on a battery tender with the rest of its summer only friends. I need to move to Florida.

Nice looking pictures of a nice looking car. Keep it that way, buy a beater for the winter.

They can go on the front and back for the rally armor. They are a set F&R.
