R50/53 Modification: 3 button key to fob

Modification: 3 button key to fob
To those interested in modifying their stock 3 button key to a flip-out key fob, I have some good and bad news.
The good:
Using the buttons, you can easily unlock/lock the doors and the trunk.
You can easily access the internals (the entire fob is held together by friction).
It shortens the length for about 1 inch.
It's more compact.
It looks very stylish.
The key fob is relatively inexpensive.
The bad:
The new key fob requires some modifications (you have to shave a few millimeters inside for the circuitry to sit flat, the exterior has to be lengthened for the key blade to sit in, and the key blade has to be lengthened).
Due to the distance between the circuitry, the new key has a hard time starting the car (you'll have to make an antenna to get a better signal).
Due to the design of the square key fob, you can't unlock/lock the doors with the key blade.
