Where to start

I apologize my first post is a question

today driving to work the GPS/clock and radio went out and the abs light came on. At work it would not start but the nav clock rradio came back. Push it off down a hill and drove home. On the drive it did it twice more. But all came back on before I arrived. At home it would crank and start. 2004 regular mini.

Drove again today and lost nav/computer. Both came back on and i drove home no issues. Turned off in driveway and will not crank. Battery has about 12 v. Altenator shows about 14 v

Any ideas what to check?

I'd make sure the battery terminals are tight and have a good connection, and get the battery load tested, or maybe just replace it. It's not throwing a check engine light or anything is it?

I will have the battery tested. Would a bad battery cause trouble while driving? Nav, computer, clock, radio and right window would not work for a while. Thanks

It would be strange, but these cars do strange things when the electrical system isn't right. And even if it is a weird intermittent problem, it's best to rule out the easy stuff before you go looking for shorts. Which reminds me, you haven't done any work on it recently that required disturbing any ground points have you? that can also do weird things.

the battery checks out 575 amps and i put it on the charger to get a full charge.

So some testing.

12.6 volts to the starter.
Jumping across the solenoid with the key in run doesn't do anything. Oddly with the key in run I have up to 10 v on the other side of the solenoid which i dont think i should. maybe a bad solenoid or perhaps ignition problem.???
