R50/53 Stock boost psi and vacuum
#2
I can tell you what my JCW is doing. The JCW equipment will not have any effect on the idle vacuum. The intake pressure may be different if you don't have the same pulley combination. My car has the stock damper / pulley diameter (for now). It has the JCW blower pulley. I've seen a coupla different ratio numbers and I haven't measured mine to know what it is for sure. My engine is, as of now, a stock, JCW dealer installed kit.
Hot idle vacuum - -19.5in. Per Autometer vacuum / boost gauge. As plumed into the cast aluminum inlet, into the intercooler. Using the provided 1/8" nylon tube.
Max. boost (also full running temperature) - "about" 14.5 psi. Hard to tell exactly while watching the road and trying to watch the gauge. Also, per the same Autometer vacuum / boost gauge.
Mike
Note - Boost level corrected.
