>>Hi there, was driving Madge yesterday and found what looks like the binder of a notebook but it is like wrapped in plastic. I cant explain it any other way but has anyone seen this before? What is it?
Do you mean to say that you found this thing in your MINI, or perhaps someplace else?
I'm intrigued...

Well, while we're on this odd topic, I found something mysterious in my MINI, too. It's made of hard black plastic sort of in the shape of a number 9, and is about 3"x6" or so. I found it in the passenger footwell after having the car for about a week, and at first I thought one of the seat adjustments had come loose, but they're all still there. I think I still have it in the glovebox. My best guess is that it was something leftover from shipping or dealer prep, and not actually part of the car.

>>it looks like the spiral of a notebook except imagine the spiral of the notebook wrapped in a clear plastic. It is about six inches and was found under the passenger side under the dash.
This is the AC connection hose for the glove box. If you look under the dash you will see a connection from the center AC section and a matching one on the side of the glove box. Nothing really holds this thing in place, I knocked mine off when I was doing the wiring for my rally lights, it just slips back in place.

Chris, knowing from other posts that you purchased your car from SATAN himself, (aka Herb Chambers MINI in Boston), I would call MINI USA directly to inquire about what that plastic thing is or try giving Gary King at MINI of Peabody and see if he might know. Check out my dealer rating post regarding Herb Chambers shabby dealer prep inspection which resulted in blown struts and strut covers on my MCS! They failed to remove the 'shipping blocks' from my car upon delivery which caused a few problems. So if you have unexplained 'spare parts' from Herb Chambers MINI you may want to check into it!

Great idea! I'll be there on Saturday, so I'll ask then. I hope it is still in the glovebox; I haven't actually checked yet.
Good for you for taking the time to fully detail your miserable experience with Herb Chambers on the dealer rating system. My review is ALMOST as long!

I didn't want to say anything for fear that they will find me. I mean they keep coming and coming and then I noticed a small chip implanted in my car. The dealership couldn't explain what it was but it wasn't anything they ever seen before. They couldn't even tell me what it was made of. than two men in black suits came and started to ask me questions. I had to hop into the MINI and drive off but they were in front of me, than beside me and they were gone. My memory is starting to fade, I don't remember what events just took place. Hello, what are you doing here?
