My MCS 2005 pics and Exhaust sound clips...
I have upload some pictures to this space and also 2 Quicktime Movies of the stock 2005 exhaust. Some of you may notice that this exhaust sounds as agressive as a aftermarket. You can even hear the infamous 2005 popping sounds. I've grown to accept them....
Here ya go....

**Warning the quicktime movies are not 56k friendly.

Are you in the Cinci area? I'm from Fairfield if you know where that is?

I checked the Order Detail and it said the 24th. But the truck was delayed because of the weather. The service dept. worked short hours Fri. not open Sat/Sun. so it looks like it will be tomorrow (MON) when we can finally pick her up. We did go to see her where the trucks drop off all the Mini's and BMW's. She is so cute. Just needs her stripes and white top treatment and then prepped and she's ready.
Waiting patiently

Nice clips, Pat - and a great looking car!
I love my 05 MCS and the way it sounds. When I saw you had 2 clips, I assumed one would be from inside and one, outside. Since they were both outside, I thought I'd add my comments-
This sounds great from inside, too! The popping can be heard from inside the car, as well - faintly, but it's there. My wife and I have both had some highly tuned cars in our past - she had an Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 and I had an MGA Coupe with a street cam and aftermarket exhaust - and we both love the way our MINI sounds! We're constantly laughing and going "Plup, plup, plup" to each other, imitating the sound of the exhaust as we're driving.
It seems to me that BMW/MINI got the exhaust note just right. It's quiet enough that you don't wake up the whole neighborhood if you leave at 5 am (and take it easy on the throttle ) and you can hear the stereo just fine in normal driving, but the car sounds like the beast that it is when you get on it.
I'm sure there are people who wish their cars were louder, deeper, throatier, whatever. And I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few who think their car is too loud. But to my ears, it's just right for a daily driver that's got this Jekyll and Hyde thing going on!
(Gee, can you tell I love my car?)
