Does anyone know what this transmission plug is on an 05 mini cooper?

bottom of CVT

Bottom plug is transmission fluid drain; top plug, above it is the fill.

If you are changing the gear oil, I would make sure that you can get the top fill plug off before you remove the drain plug.
