Update:

New fuel pump installed along with an Innovate Motorsports fuel pressure gauge. All pressures are reading correctly now. Turns out my Innovate wideband A/F gauge was reading incorrectly as well. Had to send it back for repairs as it would not calibrate properly with 2 known good O2 sensors. I ordered 15x8 et25 Konig Dekagrams with 225/45R15 Hankook R-S4's They will be arriving in the coming weeks. Very excited and should fit better than the Rota's I have installed at the moment. I'll post some pictures once they arrive. I've gotten the itch so next purchase will be an RMW Dominator cam along with new timing chain guide rails, tensioner and camshaft locking fixture. I'm interested to see the boost drop plus the power increase. I'll have to search the forums for dyno results. I'm hoping to make power to 7k rpm. We shall see. If anyone has dyno results to share running a similar setup to me with that camshaft or one similar in spec I'd appreciate it for a reference point. Thanks

My current setup for dyno references:
- TVS 900 @18psi
- 55mm pulley
- 450cc injectors
- GRS Fmic
- RMW Header
- 2.5" Straight through exhaust
- Stock long block (planning for RMW Dominator cam)

Hey Vince I have the TVS900 with 65mm pulley, forged shortblock, BVH, grand am cam and 550's and not running out of fuel. My tuning was done by Adrian Nastase on my PFL ecu. While him and I were talking he told me that he could build a facelift ECU for me. I made what I think was a great price and it was straight away a plug and play. The new ECU is so much more responsive and now I can run E85. Unfortunately its not readily available in Washington as you know. Just wanted to give some praise to Adrian and let you know he's another source if you need. Hope all is well.

One more plug for Adrian. He provided me with a tuned facelift ECU (as you said plug&play) for my 2004 MC40 with 15% pulley, 380 injectors, CAI, one-ball exhaust and Dinan Stage 1 tune - obviously not that many serious mods. The MS5150 ECU made an amazing difference. I gained a before/after dyno-measured 17hp from just the ECU installation. I also can't say enough how easy it was to work with Adrian. He is in Romania so you need to build in a time factor.

How are you liking the shifter ? Could you link me where you got it, I'm very very interested in one now after watching a video of them too. Seems very comfortable and effective

I have an oil temp gage. At the track this summer, my '06 JCW mini (engine pretty much stock) was running somewhere about that temp. Might have been 240 F...I don't recall exactly, but I noted that I did not have an oil temperature problem. My reference point is a Porsche Cayman GT4 that will run about 240 F on the track.

Update:
Decided to quit while I'm ahead here. Still not getting the necessary fuel pressure at wot. I guess the stock fuel pump is not enough. I've decided to reinstall the 60mm pulley. The tune I have for that ran much better with no fuel issues or CEL because of the P0108 code which makes sense. Max boost was just shy of 16psi. I know I could talk with Adrian and get around all of this by buying a few upgrades but switching back to a 60mm pulley will be the cheapest option and less stress on a 14 year old engine pushing 130k miles. On a positive note, 15" wheels/tires are on the way :-). Ill send some pictures once installed.

I have a couple extra sets of 550's laying around if you want to try them out. If it turns out that gets the car dialed in better you can order a new set and ship mine back to me.

I really appreciate that. I finished swapping over the 60mm pulley on Monday and went out for a test drive Tuesday. It runs much better and AFR's are in the mid 11's again with max boost of 15.5psi. I'm going to remain conservative and keep this setup for awhile as I'm approaching 130k miles. More boost = more heat and less reliability. Thank you anyways! Contacted lsd motorsports. Konig wheels are arriving this week so mount, balance and shipment by early next week. They have some good deals. If you buy wheels/tires through them they give you free mount, balance and shipping. Maybe there are better deals out there but nothing I could find. Will post pictures once installed. Picture of the wheels on an MR2 below.

They are not. Running a TCE Performance Wilwood Kit with 11.75" rotor.

Those wheels will fit with the TCE setup?

From my research they should fit. In comparing offsets from current wheels to the Konig's, I believe the Konig's should fit fine. They clear the Wilwood kits used on Miata's with no spacers. We shall see though.

Hi Adrian. I'm attempting to sort this fuel issue out for good. I reinstalled the 55mm pulley a few days ago. I had Jan from RMW adjust my current tune file to add more fuel on top end with the 450cc injectors. After installation of both the pulley and tune I went for a test drive. I did a few 4th gear 4krpm to 7krpm pulls and a few 5th gear pulls. I noticed the AFR going crazy. It would bounce from 11.7:1 to 12.1:1 to 11.8:1 to 12.4:1 and back to 12:1. I started paying attention to fuel pressure after that. Fuel pressure would jump to 69/70psi with 11.7:1 AFR and would drop to 60psi, back up to 68psi and finally hold at 60psi throughout the rest of the rpm range. TVS max pressure is reading 18.4psi at 7krpm. Jan thinks that I'm outside the limit of the MAP sensor and I should reinstall my voltage clamp to bypass this issue. Jan's used the stock fuel pump on 315whp Mini's and 450cc injectors on 275whp Mini's so those are not the limiting factors. Thing is, I've tried installing the voltage clamp already with little to no results. I triple checked my wiring and still no luck. What is the next step I should take and would you be able to assist me with this issue?

As for additional updates. I never received the Konig wheels. There were massive delays with no estimated ship dates. These wheels were coming from California. I ended up canceling the order and using money for other purposes. I still plan to pick up a set which will most likely happen end of 2021. My plan for this season is to focus on the above issue. Thanks

You are not outside of MAP sensor limit.MAP sensor can handle 2500mBar absolute pressure ,mean 21Psi relative pressure. No doubt about that. But ECU software have a SVBL value(single value boost limiter),set close to 18.5Psi.Over this value you get P0108 fault code.Easy for me to mod the SVBL to higher value and remove DTC P0108 from sw.Using voltage clamp is a wrong solution.Bigger mistake of almost R53 tuners is that they do not know how to rescale correctly bigger injectors and make wrong changes to fuel maps.I saw many tuned files made by.known tuners ,all made wrong on fuel maps. Also they don't know how important are ignition maps and how they influence AFR values. Most treat EMS2000 or MS5150 as a Bosch ECU-big mistake-,R53 use Siemens ECU with a total different strategy.Siemens ECU is unknown for most tuners due to lack of documentation, only few European cars brand use EMS as Renault and Volvo.

Thank you for sharing that information. I'm surprised Jan would tell me that then. In any case, I see you have the ability to adjust SVBL to a higher value and remove DTC P0108 from the software. Could you assist me with making these adjustments? Another question I have is, once you adjust SVBL will my current tune work or would you have to re-tune my Mini or would I need additional parts? I'm not savvy on the ECU side of Mini's so I apologize for not knowing what to do next.

Hello Everyone.
Update. I reached out to Adrian Nastase @adriancl to assist with tuning issues. He was extremely helpful and easy to work with. We started off by having me purchase a few OBDII cables for different functions and chatting online as he installed the tunes remotely through my laptop. Incredible times we live in. I'm satisfied with the AFR's I now get at WOT. In the vicinity of 10.5:1 and 11.0:1 throughout the rpm range at 18.2psi max. It's great to finally be able to beat on the Mini with this much power. After we dialed in the final tune file I went for a highway test drive. I just so happened to pull up next to a modified Mazda Speed 3 who wanted to race. The sound of the TVS pushing that much air is awesome and I pulled a few car lengths ahead before letting off. As I slowed down the guy in the Mazda pulled up next to me with his jaw dropped asking what the hell I had done to my car. :-) Nothing like shocking people in a Mini. Thanks again Adrian! Not sure what's next for this car. I may try again to grab a set of 15x8's. Hopefully they are available now.

awesome, adriancl is the MAN for sure...
I see you have a front mount kit , I'm really really looking into that as my next mod .. did you have a larger topmount befor switching to the front mount ? I'm wondering if the extra piping will negate the extra bit of cooling it may provide over my ic setup.. my iat even on 90'F Day my iat only sit at around 115'F-130'F( after a pull ) .. I'm just nervous I buy it and it hurts my cars performance....

After a tune we cannot get my AFR's below 12-12.2 at full throttle. I just checked the fuel pressure to verify my fuel pump was operating properly.

Fuel Pressure:
Key On - 52psi
Idle - 39-41psi
Full Throttle - 60psi and tapers off to 58psi approaching red line or 7,000rpm

Not sure if that pressure is acceptable or if pressure needs to remain at around 62psi solid. If injectors are the issue, I'm not sure if an upgrade to 550cc will suffice or larger will be necessary.
