I was attempting to drive my wife into work this morning before we realized just how badly Penndot got caught with its pants down on this storm. Not a snowplow or salt truck in sight. The HOV lane to 279 was closed, so naturally nobody was parked there to wait for the bus and it had a nice clean blanket of snow. I decided I HAD to take advantage, even with wifey in the car, and first tested the DSC. I can report that the MINI absolutely kicked *** in the snow, no control problems whatsoever. Then I switched off the DSC and proceeded to go WHEEEEEEE!!!! That clean blanket of snow was trashed by the time I was done with it. And poor wifey is just getting back feeling in her hands after gripping the door frame so hard!

 

We are getting nailed by snow down here right now, too! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

You didn't happen to have your digital camera with you at the time did you? I'd love to see the "before" and "after" shots of that parking lot!

remember to watch for the "sleeping policemen" (that is what my English friends call speed bumps or in this case the concrete parking curbs. I was doing this 12 years ago in my wifes 79 Mazda RX7 when I hit the first one then I flew to the next one! Oh poop! That cost a couple grand to fix!

ROFL! Well, its got supercharged horsepower!!!! And it handles like you wouldn't believe! Thank god for the NAV system though!

 

I'm snowed into my garage. Not that I mind so much. The boss is taking us boarding tomorrow for a season opener. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! :smile:

 

I must admit....I was a chicken about taking the MCS out in the snow to play. I new it'd perform well, but I was afeared of the other drivers out there in their hulking 4-wheel drive tanks, yakking on their cell phones.
