Master cylinder disassembly

Has anyone here taken apart a master cylinder, and can tell me more about the functions of the magnetic switch for the clutch pedal?

I currently have a magnet strapped to the switch so the car will start. Recently purchased a new switch to fix that problem, and possibly even get my cruise back. I installed the new switch, and same issue. It seems as though whatever is in the master that moves to draw the magnet in switch, either doesnt move, or doesnt move enough.

Now ive done the clutch on this car, and replaced the slave, bled it all proper with a power bleeder, brakes are all good as well. The clutch pedal is a little low, but i can live with it. Is this a sign of a master cylinder that just isnt working properly? Figure if I replace it, ill get some of my pedal back and the switch will work?

Id love any thoughts, or any info if anyone has taken apart a master before. If I go ahead and replace the master, I will be sure to photograph its disassembly and post it here.

I guess what I was trying to avoid was replacing a master cylinder that by all accounts is working Hydraulic wise. Then having to go through all that bleeding crap again. Just wanted to know why my sensor appears to be like 1/8 - 3/16 off in alignment.
