Diagnostic Scanners
Recently picked up an R53 and am looking to buy a BMW/Mini code scanner. I appreciate there are lots of threads on the subject over the years, but there seem to be so many iterations of the same device, it's hard to know which version to go with. If you had to pick one today, which would you go with? I'm looking at the Foxwell NT510 Elite, which is $155 on Amazon. But then there's the Creator C310 Plus for $55. First order of business is to reset an airbag light. I believe they can both do that. But I also want something for future fault diagnosis. Any thoughts, please?

I have a Scwaben (Foxwell 510??) and it’s been great. The only annoying thing so far is having to remember the enter key is on on the bottom right instead of in the middle of the directional keys like most devices. The later versions have the traditional layout which is what my mind is subconsciously used to.
In terms of functionality, I don’t think they add anymore options or features for a 1st gen, but if the price is close I would go for the traditional D-pad layout. I think Foxwell has a guide for what functions are available for the various MINI’s and scanner models on their website.
