Need to take our MCS in to have a computer error fixed and the rear fog light installed (going to Mini of Sterling). Said they can't get to it until Feb. 7th, 1 MONTH FROM NOW! Is this wait normal at most dealers?

Our other car is a Honda Pilot, any time I need an accessory put on or service the dealer guarantees me they can do it within 48 hours.....

 

I have heard of having to wait a week or so, but a month seems excessive. Are they waiting for some part to come in? What was the explanation for that sort of wait? I can't imagine that they are that busy this time of year.

 

The couple of times I've needed service at Niello MINI, I can usually get an appointment for the following week.

My usual day off is Monday, and I think Niello only has one MINI tech on duty on Mondays.

I suppose if I were more flexible in my schedule, I could get an appointment sooner.

I'm due for my first regular service in 3500 miles, I'll let you know how long the wait will be!

 

Thats normal for Mini of Sterling, they always to backed up. But don't worry their service is just as bad as the wait. I'd call Mini of Towson instead.

I was afraid of that. I had heard some not too pleasing things about their service, but that they were making an attempt to turn it around. Maybe since I bought my MCS from another dealer the put me to the back of the list?

 

I usually have to wait a few weeks (2 or so) but it should be getting better after the winter

 

I usually have to wait 2 weeks. And I am a "frequent flier" back to the dealer. (7 Xs in 9800 miles).

Today my tranny seal let go,I caught it in time to get into the dealer right away,new seal,flushed tranny,new oil, and a new tranny on order for next week.3 hours from first call to the dealer from work,and back to work.
I like my dealer:smile:

 

That's amazing. Even when I had a bad sunroof leak is was a week before they would take it.
