Milky aux lights + headlight condensation

When we picked up the MINI we noticed that the lenses on the auxiliary lights were not clear, they looked fogged up or milky. The sales guy had a reason for this explaining light refractive coating or something that sounded like nonsense.

We've noticed our xenons getting pretty filled with condensation too.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing?

I got a lot of condensation in the right tail light everytime I washed my MINI, or after a heavy rain. There was water leaking into the lamp assembly. The dealer had to replace the tail light under warranty. Since then, no condensation.
