o2 Sensor Capacitor Trick issue P0136

So i saw another post on here showing a possible o2 sensor trick by wiring a capacitor and resistor into the post sensors harness. I did this to remedy a P2096 for o2 Sensor Too Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 2). I used the attached image bellow which was for the minis sensor. I cleared my code, Drove it for a bit, and watched the data chart. It would spike if i floored it, but other than that it was staying steady around 4mV. I got home, scanned for codes, and now i have a p0136 code for a malfunctioning Heated o2 sensor. So im curious if maybe i somehow screwed up the wiring? or if this is just a side effect of this trick? The reference image shows a blue wire, a white wire, and 2 black wires. My harness Had a black, light grey and 2 white wires. I found another refrence image showing the different pinouts for different brands and wired accordingly. Any ideas what might be going on? thank you!

why don't you just find the lean issue and fix it instead of trying to cover it up?

Well i know the issue already, its because my Cat is no longer in the car. where i live it isnt required, and when it went bad i swapped it out with a header and test pipe. So i used a vibrant j bend defouler to remedy it but i then got a p2096 code after about a year.Swapped to a new sensor, same issue. So im just trying to get the light to go away so i can see when something else goes wrong.

Use an 02 defouler , thus is the ONLY one I've had work on our minis sofar . I'm guessing the little piece of cat built in the defouler does the trick, I'm using it in one car and will be installing into my other soon so it's emissions tests say ready and complete with no 02 on. Because even tuning it out YOU WILL STILL fail emissions...
