On my 05 MCS JCW, there is an ice warning chime when it hist > 37 degrees. It did chime and flash for a while, now it only flasshes... any idea if there is a fuse specifically for the chime?

The chime only functions when the car transitions from above 37F to below 38F. Being wintertime, often the temps don't go above 37F for days, thus, no chime even when you start the car...only the display flashing temporarily.

Mine always used to chime when I started the car <37f. Now it doesn't. I was actually thinking of bringing this up when I finally make an appointment for the exhaust recall. I KNOW it used to chime at start-up.

I found out that it does chime when you start the car. What happens is that it gets lost in the seat belt chime as well.

Try this. Fasten your seat belt then start the car. By having the belt on the seat belt chime won't turn on, you'll hear the slightly higher pitched cold weather chime. I found that out this morning by accident.

Lot - you have GOT to stop posting your temperatures. I keep wanting to get a hot cup of coffee whenever you do that and I am getting hyper! Hats off to you guys for living up there. It was 11 degrees this morning with a wind chill of 3 and it was quite sufficient, thank you. Took me 1/2 hour to defrost my door with a blow dryer to get it open this morning.

Makes me happy to be in Vegas. 51 degrees this morning when I left for work, expected high of 66.
You guys should all bail on the snow and come down here for the MINI Vacation! www.amviv.com

OUt of habit, I either put my seatbelt on before I turn off the car, or right before I'm ready to pull out (after music selection, etc.) so mine isn't getting lost in the seatbelt chime.

I must say, I'm not upset that it's gone: it annoyed me greatly. But I don't understand where it went...

What the hell you doing up there man???!!! There are whole groups of latitudes that would be happy to see you. What, did someone in your family spontaneously combust once that you feel you need to remain in such climes? You must be half inuit or something. Sat hello to the fur seals for me.
