Have you seen R90 16" and your opinion?

I've ordered a cr/w MCS and have an initial spec in with standard wheels.

I like the look of the R90's... the 17's are expensive... and I am on the fence as to which size wheel (any wheel) looks better, 16's or 17's, considering the size of a Mini...

The 16" R90 may be easier to clean without the capnut effect around the rim and they are lighter. 16" R90's have much of the appeal of the 17" version in the MiniUSA configurator... but in real life, is the 16" well finished and does it... wellll... look good.

Spec is CR/W, Black Vinyl seats, chrome interior, CR dash, MFSW, LSD, Cold package, White factory bonnet strips, Chrono, sunroof. I've kept to a budget but planned on different wheels down the road... but the 16" R90's might keep me happy for much longer (quite possibly for as long as I own the car) than the stockers... although the stocker (alloy finish) x-lites are somewhat OK, for me.

Any experience, sightings, and/or opinions are appreciated

If you're going to spend the extra money, get the 17's.

Mesh 16's imho are too small even on the MINI. (just my opinion).
If you want real performance mesh wheels, you might want to
look into the high performance BBS wheels. My 17 R90's are
by BBS, but they are heavy wheels.

I love my 16" R90s however they are indeed a pain to clean. But.....I DID apply 4 or 5 coats of Zaino prior to mounting the tires which has made the chore a lot more easy. Here are some pictures:

I do like the look... Does the quality seem to be pretty good, nice finish and all?

Sharp looking Mini by the way!

Thanks! The wheels are made by BBS (stamped inside each wheel) and the quality/finish is very very good. No regrets!

I really like the 16" R90s and was going to get them after delivery of my car, but decided to go with the Sport Package and the 17" Bullets. Perhaps I can find a deal on the 16" R90s for my winter set...
