I really love the looks of the SSR GT7s. I looked for something like that before they were made (or I just could never find them) So I bought the SSR Comps.
The BIG difference is the SSR Comp in 17x7.5 weigh 12.8 lbs each and the SSR GT7s in 17x7.5 weight 16.3 lbs each. Alex at tire rack said the difference in weight was like carrying around a person weighing 60 lbs with you at all times.
So I kept my SSR Comps much to the disappointment of a friend of mine

Here's the numbers I have on the 17" wheels above ...
S-Lites 25.1 lbs
SSR Comp 12.8 lbs
SSR GT7 16.8 lbs
BBS RGR 16.3 lbs
BBS RV-F 16.0 lbs
We want something that's strong, light, BBK friendly, and easy to clean. I think the RGR's would be the hardest to clean :(
I wish someone had some good pic of BBS RV-F wheels mounted on a real MCS.

First pick: SSR comps! 17x7.5" $389 each in silver or anthracite.
See if you can pop out the SSR centercap and replace it with a MINI one.
The SSR are very light but they can be damaged if you hit a pothole. If your roads are not the smoothest then one of the 16 pound rims might hold up better. High speeds + pothole from hell =
2nd choice SSR GT7 although I am partial to the SSR GT 1 17x7" $249 for silver and $199 each for white, 16.5 pounds offset +45mm. V.strong.
And for the budget minded if you like the SSR comps then consider:
Kosei K1 Racing 17x7.5" for $179 each in silver or white finish
16.3 pounds offset +45mm (not quite as strong as SSR, easy to clean)

I find it so hard to evaluate wheels without seeing them in person or real world photographs - those Tirerack type composites don't connote the sense of what the wheel really looks like to me.
That said, I know I like the RGRs - haven't seen the other BBS wheels although they look like they could be interesting and unique. The SSR Comps are nice, light and always popular - my one concern would be the reports of them bending more easily then others (I've seen this come up on other makes of cars.
What tires are you getting?

Yeah, I've heard/read quite a bit about bent SSR wheels :(
Both of the BBS wheels, the RGR's and the RV-F's, are forged and should be pretty strong. I haven't heard of many bent BBS wheels.
The tires I think I've got sorted ... Kumho ECSTA MX's. I've been arounf the Ring in a MCS sporting ECSTA V700's and they stuck like glue. I just don't think they'd last very long driving around on the road with them. I think the MX's are the next best choice.

IMO, the tales of them being easiliy bent are a little overblown. All wheels bend if you hit the right thing. Most of the people talking about these being easily bent have never owned a set and are just parroting something they heard someone else say.
I've owned several sets, driven them on the street, driven them on the track, street tires, track tires, jumping gators and hitting the occasional pothole. I've never bent a wheel. That said, I've always run 15 or 16" wheels. I'm sure the risk increases as the sidewalls getter smaller, especially if you choose a soft sidewall tire. If you like the look, but want something a little stronger, look at the Comp-H.
I've always been a fan of SSR wheels. The GT1 is a great looking wheel in person. The GT7 does nothing for me though. I don't find it attractive, and it's heavier.
Another wheel that looks much better in person is the Kosei K1 TS. Caution though, if you dislike the SSR centercap you'll HATE the cheap pos they put on the Kosei. Again, mine went in the trash as soon as they arrived. These are 15's, but it gives you sense of the depth that isn't apparent on Tirerack's site.
