Do me a quick favor and look at this

I am planning to buy this shortly. Can anyone tell by looking at the pix and/or being a MINI expert whether this is really leather or leatherette?

Thats leather......you can tell by the way the seat bottom is a little stretched out.

Based on the amount of sag there is in this pic, I'd say leather! Looks like the seat back has a little rip also. My 3 year old leatherette looks better, sorry.

Sure does look like the real thing. Look at the creased where the seat side curves at the bottom just above the seat lever (in the above photo). Vinyl won't do that.

In addition to the seat bottom look at the drivers side left seatback bolster. The material is showing wear there from people sliding in and out on that part of the seat. I don't think leatherette will do that. You should keep that part treated with leather conditioner or eventually the leather will dry up and split.

Edit: I 2nd what Cherry said

A surefire giveaway is the lumbar adjustment on the inboard bolster; real leather

Just because about 10 people all said it was leather, i'm going to have to say that it's cloth to shake things up a bit

Looks like you got it - congratulations!!
Owning a black car in Florida - you're one tough cookie!

Make sure they clean up the spills on the rear cupholder before you pick it up!

Yeah I bought it, forgot to come back to this thread.

Black car in Florida? Dude that is just one of the ways I live on the edge. I am also fair skinned and live in Florida. And as you know, this car is leather and I like to wear shorts a lot--need I say more?

With all that said, I am gonna tint those windows. I mean come on, I live dangerously but I'm not crazy

Looks real to me but ask about the tear in it. As well, Its always better to buy a car in person then over the internet. You get to see every detail of the car that way.
