I don't know if I just have "dashboard rattle" in my cranium or what, but where the HECK is the tow-hook stored, in my '05 MCS? I "thought" I remembered it being in the zipper pouch with the jack and lug wrench (it's not there).

This whole thing "started" (the rapid deterioration of my brain cells notwithstanding) when I thought it might be a good idea to "practice" pulling a wheel off the car, using the jack, etc. - It was then that I discovered I can't find my "center cap puller" gadget EITHER!

Someone here can help a guy out? I'd rather embarrass myself here than call my MA (who DID show me all those things - I held the stuff in my HANDS at delivery, FerCryinOutLoud!)...

Sigh, Happy Monday I guess,
Tatt

It might be in the left side compartment of the boot, velcroed in a nice little package. Check there, only THEN check yourself in to a hospital.

Yes that is both what I remembered from delivery day, and also the Owner's Manual points to that driver's side compartment in the boot.

Maybe it "shifted" cuz there's nothing in that compartment but wires . If I have relocated it mySELF, (ie if i find it in my garage) I will scream!

Thank you for the sanity-check, I'm gonna go outside now and check again,

If it's not there, check the battery compartment, under the floor of the boot. If I'm not mistaken, they changed the tool kit somewhat for the 2005 models. instead of a pouch, it is now a little, square, styrofoam thingie that fits between the battery and the side of the battery wall.

OK, nevermind that I lqqked for it in the battery compartment TWICE before posting in here and it wasn't there (in fact it WAS ).

All better now and thanks all for the replies. I'd be less chagrined, had my MA not made a point at delivery time, of showing me the contents (and location) of the kit.

My credibility is now shot - no one will believe (the true statement) that I haven't lost/misplaced my keys, in over 25 years,
Tatt
