Has anyone performed a conversion of a Mini to Electric or Hybrid configuration?

 

as far as I know, just the producers of Italian Job.

 

So that they could takle the fun out of the car?

 

It would be interesting, but I don't know if the Mini is too good a candidate. I haven't seen one yet. I'd rather take the new Accord drivetrain and put that in a 66 Mustang fastback......

no, it's just in order to film down in the subway, they weren't allowed to have a combustible engine, so they made a few electric!

 

Don't knock what you don't know! I've had the chance to drive several all-electric cars, and let me tell you, they like to GO ! The EV-1 especially was a blast to drive, and looked the part too. Unfortunately, too much fun really cuts into their range .
