Requesting Your Opinion on CR/B vs. PW/B!

W00t.

I've just came back from Mini of Towson.
Went for a test drive (very impressed) and came back with applications, reciept for my desposit ($1000) and documentation on the total amount I have to pay. (tax, reg, title, etc)

But I was stuck with color choice.

Initially, I've thought of PW/B, which looked very classic and H o t. .
but this morning, I've felt the CR/B pumping my heart.

It's a MCS. I do not like JB, HB, EB, or anything other than the FASTEST Color, PW and CR.

Help me out here fellas. The MA will put in the order tomorrow so I have a day to decide.!

thanks a bunch!

PW/B
This is a very popular combo currently. For resale, this combo would be the most popular. All PW would be more conservative. PW/B would be more sporty due to the contrast of colors. You can do neat things with the side mirrors, go chrome, black, add british flags or custom airbrush your state flag over black(I've seen it done and it looks great). PW is a very light color that allows for less heat in the car during the summer months, while the black roof soaks up more heat. PW shows more dirt on the boot but less waterspots.

CR/B
Chili Red has been around for a very long time and the most overused color combo is CR/W. CR/B and all CR is more aggressive like you mean business. It can be especially sporty if aerokit or painted side skirts and wheel arches are added at some point. CR does well at showing limited dirt and waterspots, it doesn't scratch as easily as the metallic paints.

If I had to choose between the two I would pick PW/B. You will bend in with traffic better and stand out less if you tend to "motor quickly".

I got HB/B, but PW/B was my second choice. But, I also really like CR/B and that combo does not seem very common. Sorry I'm not much help, my color decision changed from day to day. If I was to order a new car today I think I would go for a CR/B.

I learned not to motor quickly in a VERY VERY Nasty way... (License Suspension, 5 pts, etc. . .) So I won't be speeding over the limits. So i might not have to worry about blending in heh.! Thank you for your thoughts.

Another vote for CR/B.

I was looking HARD at getting the PW/B combo myself when I purchased my car (05 MCS CR/W). Well there is a reason why they call it PEPPER white, it's not a true white color (like the roof color of mine). It's like an off white damn near cream color. I was just disappointed once I saw it in person and was just not feeling the color at all. My vote is for the CR/B.

Oh..and the reason why the CR/W is the "most overused" is obvious.....it looks the best

Well, I agonized over this - was going to get CR/B, then PW/B and the big deciding factor to me was the interior. What interior do you want?

I had wanted the tartan red at first so that is one of the factors that flipped me to PW, the tartan inside the Chili was not for me. Then, although I liked the look of the tartan in the PW when I got to feel it a few times I was not as thrilled and sure I wanted to live with it. After seeing and feeling the Lapis in HB my decision was made, i was in love

Funny thing too, I had thought for sure I'd get a black roof, but really looking at Minis driving around and seeing the white pop on the Hyper made me change my mind there as well.

So in the end, aside from paint color I'd say consider what interior colors you want (seats and dash, etc)

Cheers

thank you all!

Thank you all for ur great opinions..!
Ya'll just set me up straight!!!

Well. I guess I will stick with CR/B. Since so many of you recommended CR/B over PW/B.
My interior won't be same as the body but instead, it will be ant. dash + ant. headliner. Gotta love the Darkness. Darkness.

CR/B ! ! ! ! ! !

By the way, Red Rage, it's HOT

Go with PW/B

That away there is one less CR/B on the road to compete with MINE

PW/B is a beautiful combo, but face it it is not an exciting color scheme. If you want a MINI understated, then this is the color of choice. I think it looks great on the Cooper and so-so in the MCS. If you want to go PW/B on a MCS, please order by all means the chrome exterior package to "sizzled" it up.

CR/B is a combo sometimes I like and other times it looks weird to me. I prefer CR/W for tradition and history, but CR/B is certainly less common and retains some of the "excitment" aspect that PW doesn't really have.

Go LY/B - looks awesome and people notice it a heck of a lot more than white or even red...

I think PW/B is one of the most beautiful color-schemes out there, and there was an awesome one at some European Auto Show that had a red cross painted on the roof. It made the car look like a really cool micro-ambulance.I'm not personally a fan of CR/B. I have CR/W, but that is hugely different.

You can pick PW/B, since you're far away from where I am

I have PW/B, love it and it looks classic . You can see some pics of mine at by clicking the link at my sig.

Saw it in PW/B and had to have it, had to have the tartan red seats as well. Love the CR/W but I like to blend into traffic a bit more.

I was seriously thinking of getting the LY/B, but my husband's car is yellow and I didn't want 2 yellow cars, so I got a CR/B with CR dash and Tartan Red seats. I like red

jeez!!

Thank you all for your comments and opinions..!!
LY/B, PW/B. all of these are surprisingly beautiful colors.

but my heart has fallen into the hotness of CR/B. Since my girlfriend quoted,

'You are buying a Mini and I believe it has to stand out, not blend in with all the other cars'

(I don't think Mini blends in with traffic no matter what color they are.. but o well, da queen has spoken )

Well...................
It's time to buy all 3 Colors and enjoy myself everyday...!!!!!!!!

Ya done good...

It's a no-brainer, and you and da queen have chosen wisely!

(Sure, the other options are cool... but you're gonna be cool and bad, all at the same time! )

Since Mini's don't blend in with any color combo anything really works. CR/B is hot, not overused from what I see. It's just where you are I suppose. It is a faster color than PW/anything! Somehow I think PW is for the PW'd.
