Boo is almost here!!

Well my EDD at the dealership is supposed to be tomorrow. Unfortunately it still says on MINIUSA that I am En Route so I am not sure exactly where my car is at this moment (it was discharged from the boat last Saturday). I would love to be able to pick it up next Saturday and right now I'm just crossing my fingers and feeling nervous hoping it's not held up at VPC for any reason.

Stay tuned for pics!!! YAY!!!!

Hey! I'm Boo!

While my MA couldn't give me much info while Bruno was being built and on the boat, once he got to the shore, she was able to give me quite good info about when he cleared the VPC, got on the truck and when he would be at the dealer. So, you may want to give your MA a ring. How long to you think it will take to get Boo to look like the pic in your sig, which is a nice lookin car

Awesome

Now days the VPC (At least the one in Charleston, SC) is processing cars at a lighting quick rate, so hopefully it will not spend more than 1-2 days before it is released to the land carrier.

Did you sell the other car?

Thanks guys!!
I emailed my MA today, but I didn't hear back yet so I think he might have been off. Hopefully I will find out more tomorrow.

The MINI I have planned is definitely going to take some time. Within the first couple months I should be almost totally monochrome though.

My car is Boo after the little ghost from Super Mario Brothers. A friend of mine picked the name...I even think the mirrors look like the character's little arms when he's flying after you.

I am waiting until I find out exactly when I can pick her up before I pee my pants.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

She's heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere!!!!!

Noone called me yet...I'm just very sneaky. I live only a half mile from the dealership and I pass it coming to and from the gym. On the way to the gym I noticed a pw/pw MINI at the end of the line of cars that had just been delivered....and on the way home I decided to stop off and look because I'm one of those psychos with my VIN# committed to memory.

It was her...still all covered in the PDI tape and waiting to be cleaned up and have the finishing touches put on.

Although I have to admit...I felt a little sad when I walked back to my Cooper. I have loved that car so much for the past 3 years. She will be hard to part with.

I know what you mean, Lauren! It was really hard for me to trade in MINIclo. But once I sat in Wanda as she was being prepped for delivery the next day, I had NO DOUBT about taking delivery of her.

I later found out that MINIclo was purchased by a very thrilled gal in Corona, near Riverside where my dad lives!

Congrats on Boo!

I'd dare not peek at my MINI before the pickup call, it'd be like peeking at your presents before xmas, it'd dull the experience! (at least for me)

I always used to do that as a kid.
I know she will look beautiful on pick up day...I'm just so happy to know that I'll probably be able to pick her up when I want.

Next Saturday so my equally MINI obsessed boyfriend can join me for the fun.

So Boo is here....WOW!!!!! How many more of those little well-I-was-in-the-neighborhood jaunts will you be making to the dealer this week, huh??? (...it'd be about daily for me) It is odd how these cars get under one's skin, isn't it? Odd in a nice way. If you have any spy shots (hint) we'd love to see 'em (hint).

I felt the same way trading in my Cooper. Still get a little sad everytime I go in for service as she is still sitting on their lot as no one has bought her yet.

It must be different in different areas. My Cooper I traded in was sold in exactly one week from when I traded it. I hold no regrets on my MC. My MCSa is everything I have ever wanted in a car. Although I did learn alot about MINIs while I had my MC.

I didn't take any pics last night because it was getting dark and I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea and think I was up to something. I almost went back over this morning before work...but then I thought...ok I know she is here and that is all I really wanted to know. I didn't even check her out as much as I could have. I just wanted to be sure that the car would be available for me to pick up when I have my boyfriend with me next weekend...and now that I know, I am going to try to not see her anymore until that day.

Unfortunately I DO live in the neighborhood...so it will be an exercise in self control for the next week.

Good luck with that! If I lived that close to the Dealer I would be there all the time bothering them everytime I had a question. I'd almost never be on the forum

I bought the S from the same MA that I got my Cooper from. I thought he was going to kill me the first time around. This time I know I've been alot less irritating. I only mailed him once to change my seats from cloth to leatherette and then again the other day to ask him if the MINI might be available for me to pick up in July 9th.

Which hopefully it will be since I know it's there.

He never got back to me...I think he might be on vacation.

Clearly your MA does not know who he is dealing with......truly one of the great luninaries in the U.S./MINI celestial firmament!!! I mean....YOU started the Pop Tarts thread!!!!!!!!!! Good lord...time for some respect!!!

It will be fun (and worth the wait) to go over your new MINI w/ the bf, although I have to wonder at the amount of self-control that will take. Personally, I'd be sunk.

It will be tough, but it's really important to me that I wait for him. He is the proud owner of a very custom MINI and this car will be a project for the both of us. (He has EXCELLENT design sense.)

And you are right...I should have mentioned the Pop Tart thread in my email....

"DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?!?! I STARTED THE POP TART THREAD!!!!"
