Mini Vacation Photos

Here are some quick picks from our road trip up the California coast. Right now we are in Monterey and these are picks from around the Hearst Castle area. They are only slightly edited. Will have more to post next week when we get back:

Very nice MINI, I really dig the stripes on the panel behind the doors.
You are on one hell of a beautiful drive. How far north do you plan to go?

Thank you. And yes, but we are getting used to it. Have to say, the stretch from Hearst Castle to Monterey (about 90 miles) is one heck of a fun. Twisties of various degree of difficulty galore... Keeping in mind that I was trying to stick to the posted speed limit, in a loaded down convertible, there wasn't a thing on that road that could keep up. Corvettes, porsches and so many new Mustangs that I lost count. Maybe it's the numbers on the car, but they all just kept waving me by. Of course I never saw them again, so maybe it's not just the numbers. Even the motorcycle guys (mostly hogs) would let us through. It was a blast.

You guys in moded MCS's just must be gitty all the time.

Sounds like fun.

How do you find the rear windscreen works. I've been thinking about getting one.

Personally, I didn't need it. I have short hair and enjoy the wind through it. My wife, on the other hand, with longer hair, loves it. It has cut down on the wind turbulance greatly. It also allowed me to drive all the way with the top down and not have to hear her complain. I have the sun burned forehead to prove it.

Sure sounds like you guys are having a good time.
I'm sure you two will have plenty of stories to tell when y'all return to SoCal.

Expecting to see more pics.
Have fun.

You know, vacations are always fun. But even more so in a Mini. Here are some non Mini related pics. Just a view out of the hotel room in SF. Going to mess around with some black and white shots tomorrow.
