Who can scan it?
The service engine soon light came on yesterday, my MINI dealer is about an hour away, but I know a BMW tech right across the street. Can the MINI be scanned with the BMW tool or do I have to bring it to my MINI dealer?

What kinda MINI do you have? If its an automatic, check out this link...

There is a problem with that right now. Did you check your gas cap? That will also trigger the SES light. You can read about that in your manual too. Hope that helps.
