52, Male...bought and sold an S after driving it a month....owned orginal cooper in the late 60's for a brief time...guess it was the nostalga, but unfortunately the new S was a dissappointment, I probably was expecting too much, but I'm sure I will revist mini again if there is an engine upgrade down the line because it's hard to deny nostalga...I also owned a 240Z for a brief time in the early 70's so maybe the 350Z will be where I end up......but that sounds like it might be dissappointing as well......cheers

31 /Female
Replacing 95' CIVIC DX Coupe Standard w/ MCS Dark Grey - haven't decided on any other options. I'm on the list at Princeton MINI - Production in DEC. delivery in
MAR 03'.
Actually~ my boyfriend introduced the car to me. When I mentioned that I'm getting the MINI and how excited I was. His remark was "Are you going to break up w/ me when you get the Cooper?
I guess he thought it was such a hot item that I would have all the guys asking me if they could go for a test drive.
Of course ...we just have to wait and see

Well, I have had a very enjoyable time reviewing these many, many posts in response to my initial post clear back in April. I think what I have learned here is that our beloved MINI cuts across normal demographic distinctions. I wonder what BMW is making of all this? Will we see a shift in marketing strategy?
Oh, by the way I didn't ever say anything about myself in line with the rest of you. I'm 46 (just), male, caucasian, industrial designer, married, two kids, house, mini-van (2000 Honda Odyssey) and my MINI. Chili Red with white roof/mirrors. June 30. Aftermarket 17" wheels (Limited) with Falken 205/ R17-45s. Last time I bought a car just for me was my '84 Civic-S. Although I shouldn't say just for me, since my wife loves driving this car too and the kids love to ride in it since we go around corners with much more pizazz than the van!
And one last thing, I have formed a new company (Mini-X) which is developing MINI-specific aftermarket audio accessories. A few people here in Denver are aware of this and have had a chance to hear (and be wowed by) the first-generation prototype of our initial product. I hope to be able to make a full announcement on this site fairly soon. And you wondered why I wanted to know about demographics??
