R50/53 Mini demographics

Interesting question! Just last night, a co-worker called it a "girl car." My jaw dropped. I'd love to see the final tallies!
Me:
49F
Emergency physician/Assistant professor
Left-handed
I also had the impression that a lot of MINI owners have creative interests/occupations. When I was at the DMV to register my car last week, the clerk told me that the last 5 MINIs she had registered were to doctors! (I've seen only one other physician on MCO.)

Happily married for eight years with two sons, Fisher and Elliott, ages five and two.
Hairstyle quickly going in the direction of David Letterman's - sad but true.
Don't drink, don't smoke, don't gamble, don't chase women.
I reackon the MINI is gonna be my vice. Well, you've got to start somewhere.
See ya,

IMO the Mini appeals to a really wide range of folks. It's sporty enough for the young, and young at heart. It's remembered fondly by those of us who are age-impaired. And best of all, it's not the generic looking, aerodynamic smooze, all the other car manufacturers are trying to spoon feed the populance!

Just a thought on your demographics study here.
I don't think its primarily men who have Minis but I do think there are a lot more men on the news groups. Here in sounthern California Minis seem to be considered a girl's car, and from what I've observed there seems to be more women driving them than men (and there are lots of Minis here).
So for your stats - 26/F

41 y.o Male(will be 42 on June 5th)
Where did 42 years go??
Chemist
Sold two Triumphs TR4's,one TR 7 and a Chevrolet Impala Conv that is longer than TWO Mini's put end to end to buy a solid red Mini Cooper.Four cars for one,not too bad considering that none of the four actually ran.
The demographics on the East Coast are a little different than West coast. In Philadelphia most of the buyers are under 30 couples. After that it's over 50 age group couples that are empty nesters.Single females and finally single males round out the group.

You might not believe this is an actual occupation, but I'm a poet. My real job is editing a literary magazine at a university, and my wife is a poetry professor.
30, M
1 fat dog
99 VW Passat wagon, soon to be joined by an MCS (but what color ?)
