R50/53 Engine Stumble

Engine Stumble
An item which I have had since day one and wonder if it is a normal situation i.e. supercharged engine stumbles between 3100 and 3200 rpm. Otherwise it runs like a fine watch. Is this a transition range where the supercharger cuts in? Can the stumble be adjusted/eliminated? The car is a 2005 August delivery "S" with 6 speed.

I'm thinking that it's just the way they are. Got mine in July and it does the same thing. I just got back from a four-hour highway drive, without the a/c on, and my engine was stumbling like the compressor was cycling on and off. Didn't have the defog on, either...
One of the quirks of the Cooper S, I guess.

Same thing...not a major issue for me. Only happens if driving too "easily"...hammer it and there's no problem. Presumably an ECU issue - it's been discussed many times on NAM. There is also the gigantic The Yo-Yo Chronicles thread.
