Reset MCS ECU Good Idea? How Often?

Recently read a thread on MINI2 about resetting ECU's. I have not seen much on that here. If the ECU is programmed during the first 1200 miles when "breaking in" our cars and one adheres to not overdoing it, is there anything to be gained/lost by resetting once one starts really motoring? How many miles before ECU picks up more agressive driving style or does it?
Thanks for your input. Nick

I probably read that same thread as you a few days ago and I did the ECU reset last night. Yes the ECU is soppose to adapt to your driving style, so in theory resetting your ECU will make no difference as it will just go back to it's old form (unless you start driving totally different I guess).

Well from my experience the car felt more "responsive" imo. I don't see how you can do any harm from a ECU reset anyway...and plus you lose 1mile off your odemeter (in my case I lost 2 for some reason).
