I have a little over 5k after a year of ownership. I will be getting rid of the Mini in 2009, either to get the upcoming AWD or some other brand. I have never put that kind of mileage on a car.
Bone stock Black on Black 2003 non-s with CVT, no major problems with 156500 miles except for two deer, one raccoon, and one fox. Body shop loves us.
Wife has 2007 Chile Red with auto, she gave me above. Actually we both think 2003 handles better but less gas mileage.
Wow...thats awesome to read how many have surpassed the 100k mark with little or no issues.
I have an 05 (R50) non-s, with 75K, 5spd manual and the car runs like new.
Purchased the car used in Sept 07 with 61k, clean carfax and the previous owner had it for 2 years 7 months. I added a K&N air filter, 17" S-lites with prada 2 sneakers added bonnet graphics. I was a previous owner of a 2000 Dodge Durango and making the switch to a mini was the "BEST" decision I have ever made....I Absolutely LOVE this buggy.....so much fun to drive and now that so many others have beyond 100k miles I look forward to a long relationship with my mini!
Second R50, a Mar 2006 build. Just went over 100k a few weeks ago. My first MINI, a 03 built in Aug 02 had 70k or so when I traded it in.
This one had a leak in the door seam, dealer fix it under warranty.
At 55k or so the passenger side air bag sensor went bad and I had to replace it. The rest I consider normal ware and tare so I will not include comments on that.
I am still having fun driving and still waving at other owners.
