Replaced the SC at 191,000 miles because I was nervous, but it was fine. As for the rest of the motor its original. Some of the usual accessories have been replaced, i.e., ac and alternator. Still on original clutch too

Thats amazing! I want mine to last like yours as well, what interval have you been changing the oil at?
I don't know if there is a clear answer to that. They are supposedly rated to 100k, but I've heard of them going at 30kish. I switched my original one out at 191k because I got nervous, opened it up and the water pump gears still had oil. My current one has over 158k with no signs of trouble, and the one on my 05 has a little over 114k. There are some threads around here about checking the oil, or making an easy way (custom dip stick) to check the oil. I may look into that the next time I replace mine.

Ok thanks. My s/c just hit 125,000 and I have a 17% pulley on it that was just recently installed hope it last me till 191k or more .. but I am gonna keep an eye out for a new one in the mean time. Did you buy stock or aftermarket?
