Twisties next 46 miles!

My husband and I took our new S out to Angeles Crest Highway for a spin today. Great car and a great highway!

LOVE signs like that - next 46 miles! That means you can wear out the side walls before the tread. Your mountains are so different than what we have on the right coast.

I have always thought that the color of your MINI looks so clean. Beautiful.

Nice car, nice pictures.

The nearest city from where I live is 45 miles away, has 191 curves and the longest straightaway is less than a mile.

Oh the joys of owning a mini

My favorite road too! Newcomb Ranch (~30 miles up) has good food and is a frequent destination for my Mini. However, I've not found anyone who appreciates being a passenger on the way down after a big fried breakfast or a chili burger- there's been a few barf stops on the way down. So, I'm often dining alone.

Just a few miles above Newcombs is a high point in the highway, Cloudburst Summit at 7000 ft elevation. I was bicycling there last Sunday and got SNOWED on. Snow, pine trees, and even some fall color in Los Angeles in October! It's our secret

HA! my husband and I had to switch seats a couple of times when one of us would say, "Honey, I don't feel so good ... " Once you start driving the motion sickness goes away

Thanks for the secret tip!

I'm envious. We don't have that many curves in the whole state.

Great color choice also!!

The first few miles of Angeles Crest Highway (ACH) from Altadena to Angeles Forest Highway is one of the best canyon roads and is extremely well maintained. Last Saturday myself and another MINI went up ACH to Red Box to go up to Mt. Wilson and just as we turned to go up the hill, we saw Jay Leno in his silver Porsche Carrera GT coming down. Had we been just a few minutes earlier.....

Not quite as intense as the Tail of the Dragon but sure sounds fun none the less! Far more exciting than the roads around Indianapolis.

I saw that sign this past spring when I was driving Hwy 1 and thought that "That would make a great pic". That road would be phenomenal if there were'nt so much traffic on it.

Yes but as I've said before:
1) the scenery is amazing (Emerald Coast of Sardegna)
2) you don't have to be in North Carolina
