Rally,

The wife wants to know if you'll be selling your Red N Checkerboard Cooper CVT? She doesn't drive the MCS 6-speed.

yup....with mods or without. Can't sell until the MCS gets here (early june), but you guys can definitely call dibs if you want to. I would love to sell it to friends

Oh boy, I can see the wheels turning inside her head already! We'll be thinking about the offer.

I've kept my eyes out for a used Cooper but haven't seen one yet worth considering.

My '06 ds/ds is two weeks old.....replacing an '02 ds/w. It has white Shelby stripes on the bonnet, boot & r. bumper as well as a silver M7 lower front grill.

Today I added two topper decals from MiniPirate.com.They go on the bottom of the panel just above the S side-grills. While there are a number of different patterns, I have a 'Union Jack' decal on the driver side and a 'Stars 'n Stripes' decal on the passenger side. Each one measures one and a quarter by just under ten inches.....shaped like a parallelogram to fit the outline of the panel. They add a very welcome touch of color.

Just wanted to share what I think is a neat idea. They look especially good on dark silver. I like 'em alot!

Well, let me be the first to post a pic with the new U-stripe on the bonnet. Here is my 1 week old new buddy, his name is Floyd. He like "Dark Side of the Moon", driving the roads in the Angeles National Forest in So Cal, and looking good.

Two weeks old....and yes, Dark Silver is the best color. Excuse the camera phone quality, it just does not do Dark Silver justice.

The dark silver is hard to photograph. It's always shining and reflecting.

Tit: I love the Ren and Stimpy in the sig!

Ain't that the truth. I'm tired of washing cars. Tried a local automatic car wash the other day to see if it could do a decent job on the MINI. Couldn't even SEE it as I pulled in, backed up, in, out, in, waving arms until I finally gave up and waved the next guy in line to go ahead and wash his truck. Sure enough, it saw HIM! I'm calling an attorney as I feel we've been discriminated against.

Theres a nice Touchless wash up near me they just put in in painseville, but i still like being able to wash my entire car off of 2 dollars in quarters!

LOL! I had already done that to get the heavy stuff off. I like a final good rinsing. Besides, the colder it is the less I enjoy it. Have debit card, will watch the machine do the work.

Thanks....

Washing the car yourself can be a torturous experience because you always find new chips and marks....

The HB/B guys are going to kill me.

I ordered an 06 HB/B but just defected and changed my order to a DS/B. The more I looked at pics of DS MINIs, the more I liked the stealthy appearance. It is a good thing I came to my senses.
