Dark Silver owner here
When I wanted the british Racing green but saw the Dark Silver in person, I liked it. It is a nice color and takes a while to get used too. Not too flashy yet sporty. I did paint all the plastic trim to match which makes it look more BMW and less like a Radio Contol Car. LOL

I just picked up my DS/B/B about a month ago as my daily driver. My garage queen is a very loud color, so I liked that the daily is a nice, attractive slightly muted tone. I spent about 13 hours detailing it this weekend, only to have the temps drop about 60-70 degrees, got my snow tires just in time
When I got it:
and after some de-striping and menserna FG400
So far I have:
-Removed the black stripes
-De-mushroomed the shock towers via gently applying CravenSpeed STDs.
-Installed a Dension Mediabridge. The car now has fully integrated bluetooth with streaming audio etc
-Replaced the thermostat and housing
-Installed 16x7 OZ Superleggeras with Pirelli Sottozeros
To do:
-PDR on the hood (3 places)
-Control arm bushings and ball joints (clunky)
-Oil Pan Gasket/PCV
-Change the summer rubber to non-runflat and lighter weight wheels
and an obligatory photo of my garage ****:

I want to play!
Shortly after bringing the car home (and some quality time with a clay bar, wax, and buffing wheel)
I've had the car for a month now. I've since had the windows tinted 20%, new Michelin A/S 3, and waiting on a pulley puller so I can install new WMW 16% pulley, ATI super damper, new plugs, and belt. Also removed the antenna and rear wiper (replaced with a Chris King headset cap)

2010 MCS Dark Silver (R56) here! Black Roof! Just picked it up last week. Only had 9,900 miles at the time of purchase. Has 10,900 now. Local original owners, retired couple. Carbon lounge interior, sport package, pano roof, 6-spd, premium package, Nav, clear bra dealio... It's great. Also got a 48,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, because... It is a mini. Excited to make it my own.

Hello Everyone! I just picked up my 'new to me' 2005 R53 DS last weekend. I know this thread hasn't been very active lately but I wanted to stop by and say hi anyway . It's been a long 6 years since the last time I was in a mini but I'm so excited to be back in one again and call it my own. This is Se7eN & she's definitely my special lady.
