Too bad one apple has tainted your perception about the product. I don't blame you to a point. However, for your dealer to come out and say that every MINI outhere is a ticking time bomb waiting to happen...well I am sorry but that is simply misleading and untruthful.
Like I said, I have owned 3 of these cars, built in different years and they have yet to give me any serious problems. In our club we have members with 2005 MCS and they are happy with their cars.
Anyway, you have already made up your mind.

I'm very happy your dealer stepped up & did the right thing for your wife & you.
Sorry you aren't getting another MINI just now, but I have to say that I understand. I'd be a bit gun shy to say the least after what you've been though. Happy motoring in whatever you buy to replace the MINI.

For the benefit of all of us who have been watching this saga from the sidelines, why don't you tell us what the dealer did to make it right?
