R50/53 Climate control - I've noticed...
#1
Call me crazy (like the doctors) but when I first start the Mini in the morning or after sitting at work all day if I first turn OFF the climate control the engine seems to crank over and start more easily.
Also, if you turn down the fan speed manually with the + and - and then turn OFF the climate control you can then press the + or - to turn the system back on to the previous fan setting.
I find that even after the car is warm the fan seems to stay up a little to high for my taste.

A lot has recently been said about the ACC system in this thread.
I believe that the MINI won't actually turn on the ACC until a few seconds after the car is running - I seem to recall reading that somewhere and it seems to be the case with Molly - but I could be wrong. If I'm correct, it shouldn't make any difference, since the computer leaves the system off. But it certainly does make a difference on any car that has the HVAC system turned on during startup.
