Can I ask where you found the 2" knockout covers? Lowes, Ace Hardware, or maybe Home Depot? Thanks

A few!

I believe last time I posted was either about my toggle bank aux in and driving light switch or painting [most of] my silver interior accents glossy black. Still working on that.

Well now (and until next time) I've replaced my nappy peeled 03 wheel with the 05-06 steering wheel (which isn't really a cheapskate mod, but in my case it is as I got the airbag for free and the wheel for 100 doll hairs) I'm posting to show the matching vinyl wrapped gloss black steering wheel to match my tach, speedo, and other little things. We just used our scrap vinyl since my boyfriemd works with wrapping cars. Definitely my favorite modification yet. Along with the R56 JCW shift **** in the bottom picture..Ignore my messiness. Just got back from a road trip. Let me know what you all think!

Wow, it looks like your interior got a facelift! I didn't think I wanted to change to a three spoke steering wheel until now.

Huge difference, thanks for sharing!

So the red Craven dipstick wouldn't look so out of place I took a red paint pen to the raised labels on the fluid caps and fuse box. Cheap and dorky? Check and check!

I used to use Westley's Bleche Wite for my white letter tires when I had my old '85 SS Monte Carlo. I made sure to only use it on the letter surfaces and not the whole tire so it was not dried out. Worked great Black Magic makes a similar product.

Kurt said my mod belongs here.

I was going to Dremel out the holes in the phony plastic grill in the hood scoop, so I took the scoop off of the car and removed the plastic grill. I thought that the scoop looked great with nothing in it, so I put the plastic grill on the shelf and re-installed the scoop.

What do ya need a grill in there for anyway?

An inexpensive salute to the sun

I figured I'd make a contribution to this thread. After a few months of ownership I discovered that the little side window visor, while very helpful, didn't always block out the sun and left me wishing it was a little bit longer or at least had a slide out portion to lengthen it. So one day I decided to make my own. I used some black poster board and made a little sliding extension which I then super glued to the back of the visor (with a little rubber foot attached to slide it with). When it is closed and the visor is folded up it can't be seen. The two pictures are of the extension open and closed. It has held up for years and still works perfectly fine.

Sorry for the grainy picture. got some driving light covers for the 2005 R53. I thought they looked pretty sharp in white.

maybe not convenient. but I can pay that price for fashion.

Thanks! I used a paint pen from Michael's: "Craftsmart" acrylic, water resistant. I haven't tested to see if it'll hold up to hosing/washing yet.
