Thanks, this was the second time I debadge a car. It was easier this time around. I painted the "R" red and just put more 3M tape on the "S" and trimmed the excess off.

Amazing, nevermind functionality and all that, cus that looks so amazing I don't care if it decreases power.
But how does the paint hold up? I'd expect it to fade, and the aluminium to lose shape after heating up and cooling down over and over?
It makes me want to relocate the battery in my R50 to make this fit.

well it was actually an increase in power for me since all i had before for an intake was an alta filter stuck onto the intake tube makeing it a complete hot air intake. this way im at least getting mostly cold air from the cowl vent. i dont expect it to fade or have any issues with it tho. its still fairly new on my car but iv been opening the hood after iv gone driving a couple of times and the thing doesnt seem to get too hot

So one day I decided to make my own. I used some black poster board and made a little sliding extension which I then super glued to the back of the visor (with a little rubber foot attached to slide it with). When it is closed and the visor is folded up it can't be seen. The two pictures are of the extension open and closed. It has held up for years and still works perfectly fine.
Been trying to solve this issue myself. Now you've got me thinking!

Wish Mini would just put a slidout on it and offer it as a parts department upgrade for current owners...

You're right, it does look better. How long have you had them off? Any issues with rocks causing damage?

Here's my lil contribution:
Hated the gap between the bezel & the MINI logo cap on the 2-spoke steering wheel. Found a perfect thickness & diameter O-Ring to wipe out that gap w/o any adhesive! Then, stuck a silver/white/black RAF decal to hide that aging eyesore of a logo.
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic, guys!

I've seen that cup holder, but had trouble figuring out where I would mount it if I did buy. The MINI interior has too many curves to find a place to mount it, unless you make a bracket to mount it to one of the downtubes.

Thanks, I bought the 4-pack of cup holders from AutoZone and already had zip ties.

I can see that doing double duty in the summer when the AC would be cooling the drinks but in the winter with the heater on...

Lucky for me I only use two vents at a time, and I rarely if ever use the heater during the winter. Passenger side vents are always closed, because my wife doesn't like the A/C, and the mod was mostly for her anyways.
